At the start of America's Highway
WHAT AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR CREATIVE QUILTERS !!!
all the way to the Beaches of California
Exciting early photos of exhibit:
Aug. 20, 2012 The Rocky Mountain Quilt Foundation gave Kelly and I a chance to hang the exhibit for a first look and to use our experience to upgrade/enhance the hanging system. Bottom line. the exhihbit was a big hit at the show. Visitors loved the concept and the stories. There were repeated remarks about the quality of quilters pieces. Impressive. The exhibit prompted almost every visitor to recall and tell their own stories about traveling America's first long highway. All artists can be proud for sure. We're working hard on upcoming exhibitions too. Go to www.jukeboxquilts.com , click the Route 66 tab and scroll to the lower part of the page for access to a calendar section. We're working closely with Road To Ca for a big splash exhibition in January. More news as plans jell. Here are a few pics from last week in Colorado.
This upcoming traveling exhibit is co curated by
